Has anyone actually met someone on Murudo?

Yes. More than 370 members have closed their account and told us it was because they met someone. It is the one kind of goodbye we like.

Do people go for the kind of person they say they want?

Mostly not. We studied more than two million likes and passes. Members who say they want commitment liked committed profiles and open-ended ones at almost the same rate. The full paper is Say Versus Do.

Does one year of age really matter?

More than anyone admits. In the same study, men liked 22% of women one to three years younger than themselves and 11% of women one to three years older. Women did the reverse: 2% for younger men, 7% for older ones.

Who is pickier, men or women?

Women, by a long way. The typical man liked about 12% of the profiles he saw. The typical woman liked about 3.5%.

Should I ask someone their totem?

Yes, and early. Totems and dating explains why.

The app

Is there an iPhone app?

Not in the App Store. On an iPhone, open murudo.co in Safari and add Murudo to your Home Screen. It opens like an app from there.

My phone has no Google Play. Now what?

Download the Android app straight from murudo.co. It is the same Murudo. Pick one version and keep it, because the direct download and the Google Play app cannot update each other.

Can I pay with EcoCash?

Yes, on Murudo Web and on the Android app downloaded from murudo.co. You may never need to: joining, matching and messaging are free.

Does a verified badge get you more likes?

A little. In our study a badge raised the odds of a like by about 2% from men and 10% from women. What it really gets you is trust: verified members took a selfie to show they are the person in their photos.

Can I meet people in a room instead of a chat?

Yes. Murudo holds events that members book in the app.
